PLTO Miss Cleo’s Picks of The Week (Oct. 24-25)

by BrianHall on October 24, 2009

Miss Cleo has been on fire this season with her Premier League picks and who knows maybe the lady isn’t a false prophet after all.  Well on second thought she definitely is, but anyway with a record of 53-16 Miss Cleo can steal my credit card information anytime.  Bu what about this week you ask?  Lets take a look into the crystal ball…

The Wolves have struggled playing with elite squads so far this season and Aston Villa is no exception to the rule.  Expect Villa to win this one 1-0 over the relegation bound new boys.  Hull City and Portsmouth are right on that brink of relegation worthy clubs as well.  Miss Cleo likes Hull City to begin their climb out of the deepest depths of the league table this weekend with a 2-1 victory over Portsmouth.  Birmingham City hosts Sunderland in a match that surely will not be decided by a beach ball.  It won’t matter this week for Darren Bent and Sunderland though.  They will win anyway 2-0 over Birmingham.

Tottenham Hotspur offers to many offensive gems for Stoke City to handle.  The Spurs will win 3-1.  New boys Burnley have been the best of the new batch and this will continue with a victory over Wigan 1-0.  Chelsea will snap back into their winning ways this week by defeating the Blackburn Rovers 3-0.  And yes Drogba will score once again.

As for the final four matches of the week: Everton will win on the road in a shutout over Bolton 1-0, Manchester City will outplay Fulham at home in one of our best matches of the weekend.  Miss Cleo likes the Blues 2-1.  Liverpool will not be able to turn it around against Manchester united.  Man U wins 2-0.  And in the final match of the week Arsenal will hand West Ham a 3-1 loss at home.
