Reeling squad Manchester City enters this week’s competition likely hoping to keep the draw streak alive as they host first place Chelsea in the Battle of the Blues. With seven straight draws entering this one Tevez, Robinho, and Adebayor need to step up and match the highly potent Chelsea offense. But unfortunately for the Man City Blues, they have secured draws against much less competitive clubs in the past few months and this week will likely end the dreaded streak, but in a less then positive way. I wouldn’t bet against Chelsea’s five straight league victories even if this one is on the road.
Final Prediction: Chelsea 2-1
The Gunners were gunned down last week, but this week the fourth place squad faces off against the ninth place squad rather then the Premier League’s first. And the Gunners can’t use the lack of Van Persie as an excuse for a while simply because the striker may miss the entire season with that painful ligament tear. But without Bendtner, Clichy, Diaby, and Gibbs too it will be a little tougher on the top four team. Stoke City has played solid recently only losing one match in their last six. This one will likely go down to the last minute.
Final Prediction: Arsenal 3-1
If you told anyone before the season began that Everton may get relegated, you would likely be sitting in a padded room right now, but last year’s top five squad just may find themselves on the outside looking in by the end of the year. Tottenham, on the other hand, is playing great football the last three weeks; whereas Everton has dropped three in a row. Got to go with recent trends in this one.
Final Prediction: Tottenham 3-0
