Italian champions AC Milan have stated that they will be making a decision on signing Carlos Tevez today. Tevez who has been making headlines since he infamously snubbed Roberto Mancini’s request to come on as a substitute in their Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich last September, remains AWOL in his native Argentina.
The 27 year old striker has now taken to playing golf as his agent Kia Joorabchian tries to finalise a deal to Milan with only days left until the transfer window closes. However, the problem remains City’s hard stance on Tevez’s buying price.
City are holding out for a £25 million buy out fee while the Rossoneri are keen on signing Tevez on loan with an option to buy him at the end of the season (something City are totally against).
So with Milan expected to make the all important decision in a matter of hours, my advise to Milan fans is don’t get your hopes up and from Galliani’s tone from his interview with La Gazetta Dello Sport yesterday, i would not be shocked if Milan ends all their interest in Tevez.
“We will make a definite decision on Friday,” Galliani said.
“Will Maxi Lopez join as well? Who knows.
“I will just confirm that if he doesn’t arrive, then we will sign Tevez, but they are two alternative options.”
So its a case of one or the other. My question is, who will be a better buy Tevez or Lopez?
