Please think before you speak…

It appears that Harry Kewell’s agent is a little upset at the treatment his client received while a player at Anfield for (my favorite) Liverpool Reds.  Yeah, as many times as I have trashed this team it seems that there is a never-ending supply of ammunition that they freely provide to those of us who would question them.

I’ve said their front office is inept, their coach has publicly admitted he can’t coach, now their coach might go to Italy, their superstar is soliciting new players through the press and on his own time, they have an injured captain, and now their medical staff is being called into question.

Kewell moved to Anfield from Leeds in 2003 and struggled with injuries and was sold to a Turkish club.  Now, so many years later his agent is speaking out about how bad the medical staff was in Liverpool?

Listen, I’m not one to defend Liverpool, but this is pretty stupid.  Liverpool needs to come out and COMPLETELY DENOUNCE this garbage as utter stupidity.

It’s possible that the medical staff at Liverpool sucks…but every on the planet knows not to trust the “team doctors”.

Ask any pro athlete and they’ll tell you “The first thing you do is LEAVE THE BUILDING when you have an injury and get a second opinion”.

It’s not Liverpool’s fault that their doctors have to have the team’s best interests at heart…not the players.  EVERYONE KNOWS THIS!

If anything it’s disgraceful that Kewell and his agent are talking now instead of saying something at the time.  Moreover, it’s disgraceful that a dude from Atlanta, Georgia who didn’t even play High School Soccer knows more about dealing with sports injuries than a professional athlete and his professional agent.

Gentlemen…please get it together.  How many other people does Kewell’s agent represent?  Perhaps they should be rethinking the advice they’re getting.
