The Sun reported Saturday that Nicolas Anelka and Alex have been banished from first-team training by Andre Villas-Boas and are now training with the Chelsea reserves. Anelka fell out of favour with AVB after missing a couple of great chances in the loss to QPR while Alex has been on the fringes of the Chelsea squad all season.
The axing of the two players is reported to have sent shock waves through the squad at the way that AVB has axed them.
Both players have subsequently handed in written transfer players to Chelsea and the club have accepted them.
After yesterday’s matcb at Newcastle, AVB spoke about the status of Alex and Anelka:
“My conversation with them was fair and direct. They have shown their interest in leaving the club and have had transfer requests in for some time. They are top players. Their professionalism and integrity are not in question. But we have decided to assign different training times to them. If their transfers don’t happen, the players will return to full training.”

We need them and please don’t sell other top players such as Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, John Terry and many others. That is my suggestion.
