Two second half goals from Yaya Touré kept Manchester City are on the verge of winning their first league title since 1968.
The title race will go down to the last game of the season after Manchester United beat Swansea City 2-0, but it would be a monumental collapse if City did not win the title now.
In a tense match at St. James Park, Newcastle frustrated and harried City for 70 minutes before Yaya Toure broke the deadlock with a superb shot from the edge of the box.
This season is turning into a nightmare for Arsenal fans after today’s 3-3 draw at home against Norwich.
Arsenal’s fans worst fears are that Spurs finishes above the Gunners in third place and that Chelsea grab that fourth Champions League spot by beating Bayern Munich in the Champions League final in two weeks. That combination would send Arsenal into the Europa League next season.
And after today’s draw at home against Norwich, Arsenal are now two points clear of Tottenham and Newcastle, however, Arsenal have only one game left this season while the others have two.

Manchester City FC’s perfect home Premier League record has ended as they needed two late goals to draw 3-3 with Sunderland while Wolves looked a certainty for the drop after losing at home to fellow strugglers Bolton.
City fell behind to a Sebastian Larsson strike on 31 minutes, but Mario Balotelli levelled from the spot but Nicklas Bentner headed Sunderland back in front before the break in a pulsating first-half in Manchester. Larsson then made it 3-1 on the counterattack early in the second half, and it looked like City’s title chances were going to take a serious hit, but two goals in the last five minutes from Balotelli and Aleksandar Kolarov meant that City escaped with a point. Man United Fwho play on Monday can go five points clear at the top with a win.

While a lot of attention was focused on battle for fourth place at Stamford Bridge today, there were some really big wins for teams involved at the other end of the season.
The biggest win of the day had to Wigan Athletic beating Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield. In four days Kenny Dalglish’s side have now lost to teams in the bottom three of the table.
Wigan went ahead whenShaun Maloney calmly converted a penalty on the half-hour mark following a high challenge by Martin Skrtel on Victor Moses.

Manchester United extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points after a 5-0 thumping of Wolves at Molineux, while Newcastle United moved to within five points of a Champions League place after they beat Norwich City 1-0.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men barely had to get out of first gear as they were always in control at Molineux once they took the lead in the 21st minute through Jonny Evans’s first goal for the club.
Things went from bad to worse for the hosts when Ronald Zubar received his second yellow card five minutes before the break, and United punished them with two quick-fire goals.

Manchester United have replaced Manchester City at the top of the Premier League for the first time since October.
At one point this season, City had a seven-point lead over their Manchester rivals. But lead has vanished, and City now trail the champions by a point with 10 games to go.
City went into the day with a two-point lead over United, but that lead vanished as they lost 1-0 in Wales to Swansea City.
Pulling out a victory in a rather difficult moment has always becomes one of Manchester United‘s trade mark and their three points against Norwich City on the weekend once again showed that tradition remain attached.
The difficult victory was even admitted by their tactician, Sir Alex Ferguson, who believed that his team were actually second best for the most part of the game but simply did what necessary to grab the win.

Manchester City moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League thanks to a convincing 3-0 win at home over Fulham.
Heading into the Fulham match a lot of questions were being asked about a City side that had lost four of their eight matches in 2012, exiting the FA and League Cups and seeing Manchester United draw level with them on points at the top of the Premier League.
