Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has been assured that he will not be replaced at the end of the season whether he leads his side to the Premier League title or not. City owner Sheikh Mansour said this during an interview with Abhu Dhabi TV.

“The difference is three points and we do have a chance [to win the title],” Mansour said.

“but whatever happens, and even if we don’t win, I am very happy and satisfied with the players, the team and the management.

“They have performed very well and have improved in their last few matches.”

Manchester City‘s manager, Roberto Mancini, finally gave a little bit positive voice about his team’s chance in beating Manchester United for the premier league title this season after his side cut down the gap into just three points with the Manchester Derby still to come at Etihad stadium.

Mancini finally regain a little bit believed that his side does have a chance in stealing United’s place, but the Italian tactician still believes Man United‘s has a bit more chance than the Eastlands.

Not having much playing time in the last two months doesn’t really frustrates’ Manchester City‘s midfielder, James Milner, who wisely revealed that team success is much more important than merely playing time.

Although admitting that sitting in the bench isn’t really a fun experience but Milner acknowledged the difficulties in getting regular playing time in a squad that are full of quality players such as what City have at the moment.

Manchester United have been named the most valuable football club in the world for the eight consecutive year by Forbes.

United are also ranked as the most valuable team in any sport, worth $2.24billion (£1.4bn), $385million more than baseball’s New York Yankees and the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.

Arsenal are fourth on the list, worth £800m, behind Real Madrid (£1.17bn) and Barcelona (£816m) but just ahead of Bayern Munich (£766m).

The Forbes list ranks Chelsea in seventh place, worth £474m, and Liverpool eighth with a value of £386m. Tottenham are 11th on the list, valued at £351m, and Manchester City 13th, worth £276m.

Chelsea‘s Uruguayan target Edison Cavani has been offered a £3.7m per year salary by Juventus should he choose to leave Napoli at the end of the season however, a transfer fee has not been agreed. With Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis wanting €50m (£41.2m) or €60m (£49.3m) for the 26 year old, it is hard to see Cavani joining Juventus.

Juve are currently unbeaten in the league this season and it is such impressive displays that have general manager Giuseppe Marotta keen on bolstering the club’s attack with European football on the cards next season.

Manchester City‘s decision in keeping Carlos Tevez until the end of season looks to finally give an advantage for the Eastlands as Tevez showed again his potential by leading his side into a massive victory over Norwich this weekend.

Partnering his fellow Argentinian, Sergio Aguero, the ex-Manchester United striker bagged a hat-trick along with an assist to sent Man City trashing their opponents 6-1 on the day.

Following United’s shock defeat to Wigan on Wednesday night, City coach Roberto Mancini has said that he will include controversial striker Mario Balotelli will feature in the Premier League decider against United at the Etihad Stadium later on this month.

Mancini who had earlier stated that he would not play the forward again seems to have had a change of heart arising from Wednesday’s loss. United are now only 5 points ahead of City and with key fixtures against Everton, Aston Villa and City still to come Mancini is confident that he could cause one of the biggest upsets in recent history to walk away with City’s first title since EPL 1968.

Manchester City mathematically are still alive in the title race with their city rival, Manchester United, especially after the positive midweek results which saw Roberto Mancini’s team cutting the gap again into five points with Sir Alex Ferguson’s team.

However, this situation apparently still doesn’t encourage Mancini in believing his team’s chance in overtaking Man United and eventually winning the league by the end of season.

Huge upset in the Premier League title race tonight as Manchester United lost 1-0 to Wigan, and Manchester City took advantage of the slip by their quiet neighbors to beat West Brom and move within five points of the league leader.

Wigan started the day in the relegation zone and not many of their fans gave them much of a chance against United, especially since they had never taken as much as a point off United in the Premier League. However, Roberto Martínez’s side totally outplayed United on the right and got the result they deserved when men Shaun Maloney scored off a short corner in the 50th minute. The win moved Wigan two points clear of the bottom three.

As surprising as this may sound, the FA has decided not to take any disciplinary action against Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli for his foul on Arsenal midfielder Alex Song.

This means that Balotelli who would have faced a 9 match ban had the FA’s decision gone through is free to feature in City’s remaining fixtures. Of course, it is still not known whether City coach Roberto Mancini will use him after he categorically stated that his season was over following his antics at the Emirates on Sunday.

The following statement appeared on the FA’s website yesterday:
