Blues And Gunners Flying High Again

Robin Van Persie del los 'Gunners'Two London rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea, got the results that they’re looking for on the weekend as both teams bounce back from difficult situation and earned the three points they’re looking after defeating their opponents.

At Stamford Bridge, the Blues get themselves back on winning ways after putting away two goals against Blackburn Rovers, while the Gunners successfully trashed West Ham United at Upton Park providing more woes for Avram Grant.

Chelsea Back On Winning Ways
Carlo Ancelotti’s wish of getting his team back on the winning track in the league came true when the defending champion hosted Blackburn Rovers as two goals that arrived from the corner secured the three points needed by the Blues. The match itself didn’t actually went as smooth as the home team’s fans probably wanted especially in the first half where Chlesea looked like to be having one of their bad day after wasting plenty goal scoring chances again.

However, the Blues’ fortune turned in the second half as after series of effort Branislav Ivanovic opened the scoring for the home team after picking up a loose flicked from Blackburn’s Pedersen before sending the ball into the net. Ivanovic’s goal lifted up the home team’s confidence even more as they’re finally finding themselves deservedly leading after wasting many chances, with their spirit flying sky high, Chelsea doubled their lead right about 20 minutes after the first with Nicolas Anelka banging in from point blank range capitalizing another flicked from a corner.

Van Persie Double Lead Arsenal to Victory

Coming into Upton Park with an embarrassing defeat in the League Cup against Ipswich Town, Arsenal were definitely looking for a redemption as they started the game in their usual sharped attacking mode. Unlike their midweek performance, the Gunners showed their usual sharp and swift passing football in the game as it was proved with their first goal in the 13th minute that came from a wonderful passing moves that ended with a wonderful finish from Robin Van Persie into the bottom corner of Robert Green’s goal.

Having a goal lead and controlling the game, Arsene Wenger’s side cruised their way before ending the first half with the second goal that comes from Theo Walcott, who finished off a wonderful cut back from Van Persie. The two players’ combination worked the magic again for Arsenal in the second half as the Dutchman scored again, this time from the penalty spot that was given after Walcott got tripped by West Ham’s new signing, Wayne Bridge.
