Three premiership big guns, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool who last weekend suffered disappointing defeats all bounced their way back into victories this Saturday after beating their respective opponents.
The Blues went on a 4-1 rampage against new boys, Swansea, the Gunners slammed troubled Bolton 3-0, while The Reds edged Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Anfield.
Headline Materials at Stamford Bridge
Two Faced Fernando Torres, Ramires bagging a Brace and Didier Drogba’s come back goal are the headline materials that all arriving in just one match when Chelsea successfully demolished Swansea City 4-1 at Stamford Bridge, despite having to play most of the game with 10 men. The Blues’ Spaniard star becomes the culprit that might endangered his team’s convincing lead as the striker picked up a straight red card in the first half after his team are already 2-0 up and he was the one that opened the scoring.
Luckily for Torres, his team didn’t suffered the 10 men deficit as Ramires bagged his brace in the second half and although the visitor pulled a goal back through Ashley Williams but the Blues still went on to keep their three goal margin after Drogba scored in the last minute. The Ivory Coast international attacker’s strike didn’t only marked his comeback after an injury but it was also the striker’s first goal of the season.
Arsenal Bounce With Convincing Victory Against 10-Men Bolton
Troubled Gunners had the morale boost they’ve been longing from the start of the season after managing to net three goals against Bolton in a game which saw Robin Van Persie scoring his 100th Arsenal goals. The Dutchman opened the scoring straight from the second half and netted his highly anticipated precious 100 midway in that period just few minutes after the visitor was reduced to 10 men, making things easier for Wenger’s team. Arsenal wrapped up the encouraging night at Emirates with a third goal that comes from midfielder Alex Song, just a minute from time, making the victory obviously much more sweater.
Liverpool Edging Wolves at Anfield
Meanwhile, at Anfield, Liverpool finally get themselves back on the winning track in the premiership after edging Wolves with a pretty hard fought victory in the end despite the home team did took a comfortable 2-0 lead before the visitor pulled one back. Charlie Adam’s shot was deflected by Wolverhampton captain, Roger Johnson, early in the first half to gave the home team the lead before Luis Suarez wonder goal cruised the Reds’ road.
Suarez’s goal was his fourth of the season and it was scored in a wonderful fashion as he turned his marker inside out before slotting the ball pass Wayne Hennessey in a very tight angle. The match turned into a rather difficult for the Reds in the last few minutes of the second half after the visitor pulled a goal back by Steven Fletcher.
