by Dewa Nugraha on July 27, 2011

_MG_8066Losing Paul Scholes has been acknowledged as a big issue for Manchester United for the new season, but Sir Alex Ferguson’s latest statement about eying to find Scholes’ replacement among the current players he already had encouraged the confidence of United’s Brazilian midfielder, Anderson.

The former FC Porto player, who have been at Old Trafford for quite a while, understand the importance of Scholes for his club, but the youngster believe that his manager is right in trusting the current available talents.

Anderson admitted how Scholes has been such an inspirational figure for him during the Brazilian’s time at Old Trafford and now with the Englisman’s retirement, the ex-Porto player believes he will have more space and playing time. Anderson also believes that United might not need to buy any replacement as just yet, considering the current midfielders available at Old Trafford will be able to do the job.

“Scholes was one player where I learn a lot, he was unbelievable and for me the best midfielder in the world. “Scholes was amazing, a legend, but it means more opportunity, more space for me,” said Anderson to Sky Spot. “I think Scholes was very important for the team as he had amazing quality, but I think everyone together can take his position.”

Listening to Ferguson’s latest statement, Anderson’s dream in taking over Scholes’ role next season might eventually came through especially considering United’s difficulty in acquiring some names that the club after in midfield. Reports suggested that the Red Devils were eying the likes of Luca Modric, Samir Nasri and also Wesley Sneijder as the future replacement for their legendary midfielder, but negotiation in getting one of those names are very difficult indeed.
