AC Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani Meets With Tevez’s Agent

by Philip Mboya on December 6, 2011

Carlos Tevez’s move to Italy seems to be gaining momentum with every new day. Just last week Tevez’s agent Kia Joorabchian met with Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani for a dinner which many believe was a disguise to discuss the fate of the Argentine striker.

This is the second meeting between both players after their first meeting at Milan headquarters more than a week ago. It really is sad to see what this issue has come if you consider the talent Tevez has.

However, i do not blame Mancini for his actions as team discipline is the single biggest factor that determines how successful a player and club will be. Tevez’s move to Milan although very good, will develop obvious headache’s for Allegri who is already struggling to pick out a consistent striking force.

In all likeliness, Tevez’s arrival would see Robinho fall down the pecking order and once again put him in the transfer spotlight. His former club Santos has already launched a famous bid to re-sign the play for their centenary next year and this could be incentive for him to leave the club.

According to Galliani, the meeting between himself and Kia Joorabchian  were fruitful to the extent of  City giving the Rossonerri the green light to begin talks with Tevez.

“Tevez is a City player,” Galliani told Italian daily  Gazetta dello Sport.

“The English club has authorised us to speak to his agent but we haven’t spoken directly to City yet.

“We don’t know what City want. I prefer not to speak too much about Tevez, otherwise his price will go up and this is not good.”

According to Milan coach Allegri, a deal for the striker would only be talked of after Dec 20th. However, Allegri also denied that he was aware of a meeting between Galliani and Kia.

“I am not aware of a meeting between Adriano Galliani and agent of Tevez [Kia Joorabchian] this evening, as I had left [Galliani] today in Florence,” Allegri said.

“Is Tevez difficult to manage? The boy is firstly a great player but there will be a need to find out who he is, in my opinion. It will not be until at least December 20 when we can properly assess the situation [in regards to Tevez's arrival].”
